These Mini Cocktails Make Perfect Boozy Stocking Stuffers

Why should kids get to have all the fun on Christmas? This year, spike the grownups’ stockings with ready-to-drink cocktails in miniature cans and bottles. While their sizes may be small, these potent craft cocktails all deliver big on flavor and high-quality spirits. Chilled or poured over ice, enjoyed at home or packed up for adventures further afield, they’re perfect for toasting to the holiday season.

Dashfire Canned Cocktails, $7 Each

Dashfire’s updated versions of classic cocktails in flavors like Lemon and Lavender Martini, Fig and Cascara Manhattan, Pomegranate El Presidente, and Chai White Russian will please the most discerning cocktail lover on your gift list. Crafted in Minnetonka, Minnesota, the line of six high-proof 100-ml canned drinks are made with Dashfire’s own extracts and bitters.

St. Agrestis Negroni, $25 for Four

Boozy, pleasantly bitter, and totally refreshing, St. Agrestis’ cute and portable bottled Negronis make perfect stocking stuffers. Made with Brooklyn-based St. Agrestis’ house-made Inferno Bitter Aperitivo (which the brand designed specifically for Negronis), Torino style vermouth, and Greenhook Gin, this complex cocktail is best served over ice with an orange twist.

Straightaway Classic Holiday Sampler, $40 for Six

Portland, Oregon-based Straightaway delivers big flavors in little bottles via this sampler of chicly-packaged 50ml cocktails.

The 6-bottle sampler offers a taste of the limited edition Maple Old Fashioned, lemony Lintik, herbaceous Negroni, tropical Swizzle, slightly smoky Margarita, and the sweet-tart Cosmos.

Hochstadter’s Slow & Low Rock & Rye, $24 for Four

Small, but mighty: a double Old Fashioned is inside every 100ml pocket-sized portion of Rock & Rye. 84-proof straight rye whiskey is mixed with raw honey, navel oranges, angostura bitters, and a pinch of rock candy – the “rock” in “rock & rye.” (Back in the day, bartenders used to cut less-than-smooth whiskeys with rock candy syrup, and a classic was born.)

Post Meridiem Spirit Co. Canned Cocktails, $4 Each

Barrel-aged whiskey, Italian maraschino liqueur, lemongrass and orange zest oils, and carefully matched bitters go into each of Post Meridiem’s portable canned cocktails.

Ranging from 23-37% ABV (alcohol by volume), these 100ml Vodka Gimlets, Daiquiris, Mai Tais, Margaritas, and Old Fashioneds are meant to be shaken and poured over ice.

Golden Rule Spirits Margarita and Old Fashioned, $20 for Four

San Fransisco-based Golden Rule took two classic cocktails — the Margarita and the Old Fashioned — and packed them into convenient 100ml cans.

But don’t let the small size fool you: these are bar-strength cocktails. The perfectly sweet-tart, 54-proof Marg is made with agave tequila, fresh lime juice, and triple sec, while the 79-proof Old Fashioned is crafted with three-year-old high-rye bourbon, bitters, cane sugar, and orange.
