The luxurious One Island Yasawa Island Resort & Spa announced this week that it plans to reopen and welcome international visitors alongside the reopening of Fiji’s border as of December 18, 2021.
The news coincides with Tourism Fiji and the government of Fiji’s official announcement to reinstate travel to the country after being closed to international visitors for over twenty months throughout the thick of the global pandemic.
“Our Fijian family is at the ready and delighted to finally welcome couples, singles and families and groups in time for a traditional tropical holiday escape,” One Island Yasawa Island Resort & Spa Director and Owner, James McCann, explained in a press release.
One of Fiji’s most high end resorts, the independently owned property is officially accepting immediate bookings and future resort reservations for travelers looking for a tropical getaway in time for the holidays.
Note that cautious travelers will take pleasure in the fact that the property will align itself with the rest of the country’s COVID-19 protocols, including the Care Fiji Commitment and Fijian COVID Safe Economic Recovery. The 60+ person staff have all been fully vaccinated and over 80 percent of all local villages have also received two doses of the vaccine.
During its twenty-month closure, the One Island Yasawa Island Resort & Spa went through a series of major renovations and upgrades that included new wooden bure doors and decks, sleek outdoor stone showers with cinnamon wood privacy screens, pergolas over the each bure entrance, and other enhancements that’ll make the stay that much more enjoyable.
