Six homemade night packs for a glowing skin – Times of India

There are bad hair days, and there are bad skin days as well. Pollution, humidity and excessively oily/sweet food items can lead to undesirable changes in the skin, making it lose its natural radiance and glow. The menstrual cycle also plays a significant role in the way your skin looks. Despite all the factors that determine skin health and look, no one likes a bad skin day, and you can eliminate them altogether with these simple, home-made packs!

· Almond Pack

Soak 4-5 peeled almonds in milk overnight. Peel them and make a paste of the two ingredients the next morning. At night, apply a thin layer of this paste and wash it the next morning for a radiant glow on your skin! Almonds have antioxidants which clean your skin by removing toxins and can help you get the glow you want.

· Tomato-lemon mask
Crush a tomato and add two tablespoons of lemon in it. Mix this paste well and apply it on your neck and skin. Wash it off with cold water after twenty minutes and get brighter, shiny skin! Lemon helps with tanning as it has bleaching properties. For better and prominent results, this mask should be applied thrice a week.

· Oats and Honey Facemask

Mix oats and honey and leave the mixture to rest until the oats soften a bit. Mash the oats and mix well before you apply it to the skin. Leave it overnight and wash it off in the morning. The mixture restores lost moisture and minimizes the damage done to your skin by free exposure to harmful chemicals.

· Aloe Vera and Glycerine Mask

Simply mix the versatile aloe vera with a little Glycerine and dab the paste on your face lightly. Wash this off after 20 minutes. Aloe vera contains aloin that works as a nontoxic hyperpigmentation treatment and helps lighten the skin, removing pigmentation categorically.

· Lemon and Milk Cream Face Mask

Take one tablespoon of dairy cream and mix it well with one fourth tablespoon of lemon juice. Apply a layer of this mixture to your skin and leave it overnight. Wash it off with warm water in the morning. Natural fatty acids in cream will help moisturize your skin and lemon with its bleaching properties will help even the skin tone and fading scars or marks.

· Banana- Yogurt Mask

Mix two tablespoons of hung curd with a mashed banana and add one tablespoon of honey. Ensure that the mixture is smooth and apply it to your face. Let it dry and wash it off once it is completely dry. It would take approximately half an hour to dry. This mask will give you baby soft skin with a rich texture.
