What you’ll need to make apple pies

300g green apple

15g butter

20g brown sugar

1tsp vanilla extract

1/4 ground cinnamon

Puff pastry

Pinch of salt

She started by peeling and dicing the apples before popping them into a saucepan with butter, brown sugar, a pinch of salt, cinnamon and a splash of vanilla extract.

‘Cook that down until it’s nicely soften, then pop it into a bowl to cool,’ she said.

After slicing the pastry into four mini rectangles, she spooned the apple mixture on top of the base. She lined the top pastry sheet with the base, using egg wash to seal the edges.
