The Real Housewives of Melbourne: Lydia Schiavello and Pettifleur Berenger to return

They’re two of the most controversial cast members to ever appear on The Real Housewives of Melbourne.

And now it looks like series villains Pettifleur Berenger and Lydia Schiavello could be back on the small screen if the show gets picked up for a sixth season next year.

Speaking to the Unpopular podcast, Gamble Breaux said that she expects to see both women back in some capacity.

‘I think if there’s another season we’ll definitely see Lydia,’ the 49-year-old said.

‘We need Lydia, she’s frigging hilarious,’ she continued. ‘You can’t make this stuff up.’

When asked about Pettifleur, Gamble said that the socialite almost filmed scenes for the current season of RHOM, but was held back due to Covid restrictions.

‘If it wasn’t for lockdown she would’ve been at the exhibition, if it wasn’t for lockdown she would’ve been at my record launch,’ she explained.

‘She was invited to everything but I think at the time it wasn’t right for her, but I think if we do another season we’ll see Pettifleur for sure.’

Lydia, an original Housewife, officially left the series earlier this year after four seasons.

Despite her exit, she ended up in a feud with former co-star Chyka Keebaugh after she was accused of maliciously editing a photo of Chyka to make her look fat.

Meanwhile, Pettifleur starred in seasons two and three of RHOM and become one of the most divisive characters in the show’s history.

In the years since her exit, she’s enjoyed a successful career in reality television, appearing on Hell’s Kitchen Australia, I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! and Celebrity Mastermind.

Pettifleur previously admitted that her outrageous antics on the Real Housewives were just part of her persona for the show.

‘As the Pettifleur on the show, I had a job to do and that job was to create as much drama as possible,’ she told the Herald Sun in January.

‘The show was based on extreme wealth and extreme drama and I thought I did my job well, but the downside to doing a job like well is that people tend to hate you.’

The news of Pettifleur and Lydia’s potential returns comes after it was revealed that the Real Housewives of Melbourne has become a mega-hit on streaming.

The reality series is currently the biggest show on Binge, which is owned by Foxtel.

He added that that RHOM is currently ‘beating The Walking Dead, beating Succession.’
