Lindsay Lohan takes to TikTok to recreate a beloved scene from The Parent Trap

Actress Lindsay Lohan was apparently feeling nostalgic over the weekend, taking to TikTok to recreate an iconic scene from her first feature film, 1998’s The Parent Trap.

Lohan was just 12 years old when she starred in The Parent Trap, a remake of the 1961 film of the same name starring Hayley Mills, Maureen O’Hara and Brian Keith.

The 35-year-old actress took to TikTok on Saturday afternoon, lip syncing one of her most beloved lines from the film.

The line was, ‘You want to know the difference between us? I have class and you don’t,’ with laughter heard in the background after she lip-synced the line.

Like Mills before her, Lohan played both of the twins, Hallie Parker and Annie James, who were separated at birth.

They inadvertently meet each other at a summer camp, and devise a scheme to get their parents (Dennis Quaid and the late Natasha Richardson) back together.

The film became a modest box office hit for Disney, with critics praising Lohan’s performance that ultimately launched her career.

The film grossed $92.1 million from just a $15 million budget, with Nancy Meyers directing from a script she co-wrote with Charles Shyer.

The cast and filmmakers came together back in July 2020 for a virtual reunion, where Lohan revealed she had so many fond memories of the production.

‘There was such lovely and beautifully-written moments, funny but just heart-wrenching because it’s like, missing that person in your life and then finally having that person,’ Lohan said.

‘You forget … how much you miss people until you’re actually with them and you haven’t seen them in a while. And I think those scenes really tear me up,’ she added.

‘Once the long hair was on, it felt very different for me. And I feel like — I don’t know if this goes for all actors — but once you put a wig on someone, you feel different,’ she continued.

‘You’re stepping out of your comfort zone and you kind of become the other character,’ she added.

‘I feel like almost people treated me differently when I was Annie, ‘cause Annie was so much nicer and Hallie was kind of like me,’ Lohan continued.

Lohan will next be seen in the upcoming movie Falling For Christmas with Chord Overstreet, currently in post-production.
