Australia’s Got Talent star Mitch Tambo announces the birth of his first child with wife Lele

Singer Mitch Tambo has announced the birth of his first child with wife Lele – a baby girl called Phoenix. 

The Australia’s Got Talent star shared the happy news to Daily Mail Australia on Thursday, as well as sweet images of the tiny tot. 

Mitch said Phoenix is ‘just perfect’ and his ‘heart is overflowing with love’ after her safe arrival.

‘[My] Heart is overflowed with love with the arrival of our beautiful eternal sunlight Phoenix,’ Mitch said in a statement.

‘Words can’t describe the joy myself, Lele and Phoenix’s three big sisters and family are feeling right now,’ he added, referring to his stepchildren and Lele’s three older daughters from a previous relationship, Sofiana, 15, Ofa, 12, and Kalani, 5.

He added: ‘She’s just perfect and settled in beautifully at home with her family. Really grateful for the flood of love and support and gifts that have come our way, thank you.’

Phoenix’s full name is Phoenix Ori Wulanbili Firth, which pays tribute to Mitch and Lele’s respective cultures.

Lele is from West Papua and Mitch is a proud Indigenous man from Gamilaraay country. 

Phoenix was born at Melbourne’s Joan Kirner Women’s and Children’s hospital.

Mitch and Lele tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony in Tamworth in April. 

The singer rose to fame in 2019 when he won over the judges on Australia’s Got Talent with his Indigenous rendition of You’re the Voice by John Farnham.

At the time, guest judge Natalie Bassingthwaighte pressed her gold buzzer.
