After what some viewers are calling one of the best episodes of “Survivor” of all time last week, the season 41 tribe is down the final seven castaways. Who will go home in this third-to-last episode of the season?

The December 1 episode is titled “Do or Die” and its description reads, “Another big twist threatens to send someone home, and castaways must formulate a plan whether to vote out the big threat or keep playing the game with people they trust, plus an emotional reaction after Tribal Council could put a target on one castaway.”

Follow along below with our live blog as the 12th castaway is eliminated from “Survivor 41” but be warned of spoilers.

All times Eastern.

8:05 — After that shocking Tribal Council, Liana is pretty upset about Danny and Deshawn turning on Shan (she’s not wrong). They tell her that it was Ricard who got the outsiders together and flipped the game on them. But it would have been 4-4 if their alliance would have stuck together, so she’s not wrong to be mad. But right now, there’s a final four deal going on between Ricard, Xander, Erika and Heather.

Meanwhile, Deshawn is mad about Shan’s parting shot calling him a snake and saying that Ricard has her vote for the win. But as Ricard points out, Ricard has been pretty honest with Shan and Deshawn has been allllllll over the place.

8:15 — In the morning, Danny reveals that it is the 25th anniversary of his father’s death in a car accident when Danny was 8. Oh man, that’s so tough. “My entire life I think I was angry at him. You want your dad to be superman,” says Danny. “You’re jealous and mad every Father’s Day, every football game.” Wow.

8:20 — The immunity challenge has “deadly” stakes, Jeff Probst tells us, which… let’s not exaggerate. But anyway, the twist here is that if you choose to participate, the first person to drop out of the challenge will be forced to participate in a new game called “Do or Die” where at Tribal Council, that person will be forced to play a game of chance. If they survive the game of chance, they’re in the top 6 and they vote as usual. If they lose, they are out and there is no vote. Those who choose to sit out are Heather and Liana. Everyone else is playing for immunity.

8:25 — The challenge is the one where you balance a ball bearing on a stick. Deshawn is out almost immediately, but everyone else makes it through the first five minutes. The next round involves adding sections to their stick. Erika drops with three seconds left in round two, so it’s Xander, Danny and Ricard left. They all last a good amount of time, but then Xander and Ricard drop at the same time and Danny wins. The tricky thing here is that Deshawn was going to be the target and now if he survives the Do or Die twist, they can’t vote him out! Deshawn sees the silver lining here — if there was no Do or Die, Deshawn would be going home for sure. Now he has a chance to stay.

8:30 — Danny and Deshawn immediately start working on Xander to vote out Ricard, but he rightly sees that to break up his majority now is dumb. Liana is really the only choice for them if Deshawn wins the Do or Die. Erika wonders if they should take their shot at Ricard when they have the chance, but Xander argues you keep the bigger target around> He’s right — cut Ricard at some point, but not now. You lose your majority vote if you do it now. That’s just math and that’s not a smart move. Heather is on board with voting out Liana, while Erika is waffling.

8:40 — At Tribal, Jeff wonders why Liana sat out. She said that she had no chance anyway and Heather said the same thing — they didn’t want to risk the Do or Die because they didn’t like their chances in the challenge. Then Deshawn wants to explain that he confronted Ricard about voting Shantel out, but he wasn’t trying to be aggressive, he was just trying to vote based on morals. He then explains he wanted to represent the Black community as well as he could in the game after so many minority players worked so hard to diversify the cast. He starts crying when he talks about voting out Shan, but he says his game play and his morals intersected and voting her out was the hardest thing he’s ever had to do.

Liana chimes in to say that she carries “being a Black woman” with her everywhere and that is the kind of thing that can literally kill you. She feels pressure to represent Black people and give them something to root for. Jeff asks Xander and Heather to weigh in and they articulate themselves as best they can, though it’s a little awkward, especially Heather. But Liana caps things off nicely by saying that to people at home saying “I just want to watch ‘Survivor,’” she understands that but they are human beings and this is a microcosm of the real world.

8:55 — Time to for Deshawn’s Do or Die. The game is that there are three boxes. Inside one is a fire symbol that means he’s safe. Inside two is a skull symbol and then he’s done. Deshawn chooses box 1 and then Jeff reveals one of the other boxes to be a skull and gives Deshawn the choice to switch. It’s the “Let’s Make a Deal” choice and you NEVER take it. You always stay with your first choice, that is what the odds say. So it’s time to vote.

8:58 — We see Ricard vote for Liana and Danny vote for Ricard and that’s it during the actual vote. Then when Jeff reads the votes, they go Ricard, Liana, Ricard, Liana, Ricard, Liana, Liana and… Liana.
