Nawab Malik takes a dig at NCB’s Sameer Wankhede: The man who was dragging Aryan Khan to NCB office is now behind bars – Times of India

After the Bombay High Court granted bail to Aryan Khan in the cruise drugs case, Maharashtra minister and National Congress Party leader Nawab Malik took a fresh dig at the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) zonal directorate Sameer Wankhede.

Malik told ANI, “You’ll see that situation has completely changed. The man who was dragging Aryan Khan to NCB office, is now behind bars. The man who was doing everything to ensure that Aryan Khan & others are not given bail, was knocking the court’s door y’day.”

“His (Sameer Wankhede) family wrote to CM y’day that they’re Marathis & being a Marathi CM should help them. Nawab Malik’s family too has been in this city for 70 yrs. I was born in 1959 & have been a citizen of this city. Is Nawab Malik not a Marathi?” ANI further quoted Malik.

Meanwhile, in reply to Nawab’s claims in regards to one of the cruise ship party organiser Kashif Kahn, Wankhede refused to comment to the media stationed outside the agency office today. Calling allegations against him an ‘absolutely lie’, he said, “Law will take its own course.”

Only after hours of HC granted Ayan Khan’s bail plea, Malik had quoted Shah Rukh Khan‘s iconic dialogue from the movie ‘Om Shanti Om’ and tweeted in Hindi, “Picture abhi baaki hai mere dost.”

Malik, the state minority affairs minister, has repeatedly termed the cruise drugs case as “fake” and levelled various allegations against Wankhede, including illegal phone tapping and using forged documents to secure job.

Meanwhile, Sameer Wankhede filed a petition in the high court and sought an urgent hearing, saying he feared arrest by police over allegations of extortion against him in the case related to alleged drug bust on a cruise ship. But the Mumbai Police assured the HC that it will not arrest Wankhede without giving him three days’ notice.

On the other hand, Aryan Khan and other accused including Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha will be walking out of Mumbai’s Arthur Roda jail in the evening today after HC will pass the detailed order in some time.
