Kangana Ranaut calls herself the ‘most powerful woman’ in reaction to plea seeking censorship of her future social media posts – Times of India

Kangana Ranaut has called herself the ‘most powerful woman’ in India in reaction to the plea that was filed in the Supreme Court seeking censorship of her future social media posts. Sharing a post of ANI which read, “A plea has been filed in the Supreme Court against actor Kangana Ranaut seeking future censoring of all her social media posts in order to maintain law and order in the country’, Kangana wrote, “Ha ha ha most powerful woman in this country”.

One of her recent social media posts landed Kangana in massive controversy. An FIR was filed against her for her Instagram post comparing the farmers’ protests to the Khalistani movement. In her Instagram story, which led to this controversy, Kangana had penned, “Khalistani terrorists may be arm twisting the government today. But let’s not forget one woman. The only woman prime minister ne inn ko apni jooti ke niche crush kia tha (The only woman prime minister crushed them under her shoe) No matter how much suffering she caused to this nation she crushed them like mosquitoes at the cost of her own life Lekin desh ke tukde nahi hone diye (but didn’t let the country disintegrate) even after decades of her death aaj bhi uske naam se kaampte hai yeh inko vaisa he guru chahiye (even today, they shiver at her name, they need a guru like her).”

The FIR was filed by Amarjeet Singh Sandhu, a Mumbai-based businessman who was part of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) delegation. The actress was booked under section 295A (deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and further investigation was underway, an official told PTI. Incidentally, Kangana Ranaut has also filed an FIR recently, stating that she is receiving death threats. In a lengthy Instagram post, Kangana stated, “I have registered an FIR with the police against the threats. I hope the Punjab government will also take action soon. I am not afraid of this type of threats. I speak against those who conspire against the country and terrorist forces and will always speak.”
