In this Balaji Sakthivel directorial, loosely based on the Dharmapuri bus burning incident, Tamannaah plays Shobhana, a college student. The actress subtly portrays varied emotion – a sense of loss, despair, the joy in forming a beautiful bond of friendship with a few of her classmates, falling in love and the helplessness when she is engulfed by fire in the film’s climax. With this role, Tamannaah proved that she is more than just a pretty face.
